Coatbridge, Lanarkshire Youth

Paul was invited to the youth meeting at the Elim Pentecostal Church in Coatbridge, Scotland. He and his colleague Alistair Tait braved the elements to get there, fortunately so did the youth!

Shirley Bell, epic youth leader, kick starts the meeting.

This was the very day Halle Berry was photographed in nearby Glasgow holding a hot water bottle. Yes, the weather is turning!

As Hale Berry took refuse (wise lady) the youngsters came outside

My goal was to inspire the youngsters and provide some first hand insight into the world of entrepreneurs. When I visited Willow Creek Community Church with the staff of Kensington Temple twenty-four years ago I was impressed by how pragmatic their sermons were. I paraphrase slightly because I can’t remember our guide’s exact words, but he basically told us anyone can stand up and demand people to pray more, give more, evangelise more and read the bible more, but it takes a lot more effort and thought to help folk live in the real world. To this day I am convinced that man was right and would add that by avoiding the lazy approaches you in fact inspire your listeners to want to pray more etc. as they seek to find God’s direct help. I want young people to grasp the fact that they can change society for the better and do something significant with their lives with it without God, but all the more so with him!

The questions just kept coming, these youngsters are serious!

These were notably keen young people and this clear from their exceptional attention span and the nature of the questions. As the rain had gone off I held it outside. Please take a moment to pray for these youngsters to do something significant with their lives.

The Rev. Bell was on his best behaviour and the youngsters didn’t have to keep him in line at all.

Thanks to Paul for a great night. The youth were blown away by his enthusiasm for starting their own business as well as his success as a motorcycle funeral service. The questions came thick and fast and kept Paul on his toes.
